CHINA: China demand pressurizing tight Iran pistachio supplies. Strong Chinese demand for Iranian pistachios has exerted a further squeeze on already-limited remaining stocks from the 2010 crop.
INDIA: Pistachio up on fresh buying support. Pistachio prices today rose up to USD 0.20 per kg in the national capital largely on the back of fresh buying support by retailers and stockists. Fall in supplies from overseas markets also supported the rise in the prices. Pistachio Irani, hairati and peshwari increased by USD 0.10-0.20 to conclude at USD 14.03-15.05, USD 18.43-20.68 and USD 23.55-24.58 per kg, respectively. Market analysts said fresh buying support by retailers and stockists, amid fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up pistachio prices on the dry fruit market here. ALMOND
IRAN:The almond quantity is lower compare to the year before and the prices are highly increased. The increased value seems natural due to the unique taste of Iranian Almond.

USA: US almond sales start new season at slower pace. US almond sales slowed for the first month of the 2011/12 season versus a year earlier with exports and domestic sales both down.

RAISIN
IRAN: It is predicted that sultana raisin will show a reasonable price due to the adequate quantity. This kind of raisin also will bear a unique quality this year. Sundried raisins are predicted to have high quality and it is hard to make any exact forecast regarding the quantity of this type. Golden raisin will represent lower quantity this year; however, the quality will be highly unique. The lower quantity may result in high prices. As per the predictions, Green raisin will experience a reasonable price compare to the last year as the quality is higher and the quantity is bigger than the year before.

CHINA: Chinese 2011 raisin crop will be small due to bad weather. China’s current raisin crop will be much smaller than 2010 following the poor weather conditions earlier on this year. Prices have, as a result, shot up 35% compared with last year and are not expected to fall any time soon.
USA: Combination of factors increases prices for Californian raisins. Californian raisin prices have shot up since the start of September, due to increased demand from wineries, strong raisin sales, a delayed harvest of around a fortnight and a farm worker shortage. USA: US faces difficulties with quality of grapes to produce its raisins. California appears to be having problems this year with the quality of its Thompson seedless raisin crop.
SAFFRON
IRAN: It is strongly predicted that the prices are increased due to the water shortage and bad weather of this year. However, now the price is reasonable and workable. As a high quantity of saffron left over from last year, it is highly recommended that a great care must be taken in choosing a reliable supplier to avoid any fraud in supplying the last year’s crop.

TURKEY: Late scare for Turkey’s fig crop prompts some withdrawn prices. Anxiety in Turkey following recent rains in the fig growing regions has created some uncertainty over pricing of both tree and vine fruits over the past few days.
TURKEY: Turkey's dried fig crop is delayed by up to a fortnight after adverse weather conditions earlier this year, and farmers are now keeping a close eye on the weather. If temperatures rise significantly in August production will be affected, but any rainfall in September could affect the drying process.

USA: Appetite for dates fuels exports. Dates has been the winners among US exports of dried fruits in the first half of the year, with shipment volumes increasing by 45% and 27% respectively.
IRAN: it is predicted that the upcoming year will be more blessing regarding apricot and walnut. The harvest time is September to the mid October.

Dried fruits and Nuts export rate increased:
Iran is experiencing the dried fruit and nuts export rate increase by around 57 Million dollars at the first three months of the current year. The export rate value for the dried fruits and nuts has been increased from 241 million dollar in the first three months of the last year to 297,800 million dollars. Pistachio is allocated the bigger part of this rate.
